Born and raised in Oregon, fitness and athletics have always been a part of my life. From water polo to powerlifting to yoga, I view the diversity of my personal experience combined with science, proper nutrition, and education as the foundation for my approach to fitness. As a personal trainer, I recognize that everyone has a different concept of fitness and it’s my job to use my experience and knowledge to safely and effectively get results. Simply stated, I opened Custom Fit to provide the absolute best personal training and nutrition services available. We all follow a training protocol that has a primary focus on core strength, functional movements, correct form, and proper nutrition. From there, each program is custom fit to you and your goals, which we will track to show progress. Our objective is to help you achieve your goals as efficiently, safely, and as easily as possible.

Marissa Mather

Food and cooking has been a lifelong passion of mine.  Growing up, my mother was a dietitian, so we always had an emphasis on eating healthy and balanced meals. My Greek background allowed me to learn a lot about the Mediterranean diet as well as the importance of enjoying meals with family and friends. Born and raised in the Bay Area, I love learning and being immersed in the inspiring and innovative food scene that we are world famous for.  Before studying to become a nutritionist I worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years, so my passion for food is not only focused on health, but being delicious as well!  I love learning, researching, and testing new recipes that utilize local and seasonal ingredients, are easy to make, and most importantly taste great.  I truly believe that healthy, nourishing food can be enjoyable and designed to fit into everyone’s lifestyle, regardless of time, finances or skill.

Justin Grinius

RedCord & Pilates Instructor

In 2000 I was pursuing a successful advertising career in San Francisco. Committed to my work, I would spend prolonged periods of time sitting at my desk. The 10-hour days with poor posture began to take their toll and I noticed I was experiencing lower back pain. Before long the pain had developed from a nagging ache to becoming excruciating and preventing me from carrying out normal daily activities. In my quest for answers and healing, I discovered Pilates and on a trip to Europe, the Redcord system. This was a perfect compliment to my workout routine that helped me heal from my repetitive stress injury due to prolonged sitting and get strong and healthy again.

In 2011 I was so inspired that I made the difficult decision to leave my successful career in advertising and to form rebalanced SF. As a certified Pilates instructor as well as the first and only Northern California certified Redcord Active Specialist, I offer unrivaled knowledge and experience in Redcord and Pilates personal and small group training. I am one of only 20 trainers in the U.S. to carry the distinction of Redcord Active Pro Specialist.

Brooke Wilson

Originally from Louisville Kentucky, I grew up in the land of horse racing, bourbon, and southern food.  I have since been on my own journey towards optimal health.  I made my way to the Bay Area many years ago to learn about holistic nutrition and study food's miraculous ability to support health and to heal. Through my work as a nutritionist I most enjoy working with people to help them achieve their goals and support them as they start to see how changing the way they eat can profoundly impact the way their body feels and functions, their energy levels, their moods, and their ability to focus/concentrate.  My passion is making food both healthy and delicious so I’m forever experimenting in the kitchen.  I’m thrilled to be a part of the Custom Fit team!

Omar Galindo

Personal Trainer

I have always been active starting at a young age from playing soccer through various club teams to collegiate level. My college path took a halt when I decided to join the military in 2004. My fitness continued when I joined the Navy to become a Seabee attached to the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 5, The Professionals. At homeport or deployments, you would always find me at whatever gym was available; I performed bodybuilding type movements, but constantly questioned my technique and was always curious about the optimal way of moving the body. Having not much knowledge in the strength side of training, I felt a plateau in my exercise regimen. In 2008, when helping my friend train for BUDs, I began researching various fitness methods and applying it into our training. We tried everything, from HIIT, powerlifting, calisthenics and bodybuilding. By experimenting with different exercises and methods, I felt fitness would be my career path in life. When I completed my service for the Navy, I made it a personal goal to go to college, again, and get my Bachelors in Science in Kinesiology. In 2016, that goal was accomplished.

 I am passionate about training and I’ve made it my life’s mission to help others become their ultimate best and achieve goals they never thought were possible. I have been a personal trainer and group class instructor for the past 6 years and specialize in biomechanics as it is linked to strength and overall health and wellness. As a trainer, the journey never ends as I am constantly searching and learning for the most optimal way of moving the body.

Alia Boynton

Personal Trainer

Over 10 years ago, I was first drawn to the transformative power of movement through Yoga, Pilates, and running. I am born and raised in San Diego, California and began my personal practice there. After years of travel, internships, work, and volunteering, I realized my passion for enhancing the health and wellness of others, particularly through movement and physical activity. I received my 200 Hr. RYT Yoga Teacher Certification at CorePower Yoga, and moved to San Francisco shortly afterwards. Upon arrival, I began teaching group fitness classes full time. I found my love for higher intensity fitness both for my own routine and as an instructor and coach. I discovered a power in working with weights, resistance, and HIIT drills which spoke to me as both an instructor and a student. Through a combination of cardio, strength training and flexibility work, I found that I could break boundaries for myself that I once never thought possible. I similarly realized the importance of creating that experience for others. After years of teaching group classes along with private yoga and training sessions, I received my NASM Personal Training Certification and began working almost exclusively with private training. Each person is unique, and I believe firmly in crafting an individualized session for each person which allows them to reach their personal goals and potential. I am passionate about fitness, yoga, and overall movement as a powerful tool to overcome both physical and mental barriers.

As a native to the Bay Area, I was introduced to fitness after high school and it instantly became my passion. When I began my studies at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Biology, I took up powerlifting and bodybuilding. In 2014, I competed in my first powerlifting meet and 2016 in my first bodybuilding competition. My passion for fitness doesn’t end there, I strive to learn as much as I can to improve my knowledge and experience. Therefore, I chose personal training as a career to help others get results and simply feel better about themselves. My specialties include strength hypertrophy training and HIIT training. I was born and raised in San Francisco and have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years, and athletics have been a part of my life. Milad Ebadat

In my mind, movement is the key to life. Through movement we can express ourselves mentally, physically, and creatively. Movement has inspired me to explore different places, experience different physical states, and finish my education. My approach to fitness looks at movement not only as a way to get fit but as a way of challenging oneself. Through challenge we grow and adapt with new solutions to movement and life’s obstacles.

With years of experience in hospitality, physical therapy, and strength and conditioning my ultimate goal as a trainer is to provide comfort, exercise adaptations, and education. To me, fundamentals are key, thus core training paired with mobility are my go to training modalities. Once fundamentals are established the fun begins. I like implementing strength and conditioning, HIIT, Kettlebells, calisthenics, therapeutic exercise, Pilates and mobility protocols. These styles of movement are just small pieces to the puzzle, and I am always eager to find new ways of moving and challenging myself.

Originally from Boulder, Colorado, I grew up playing many different sports and living an active, outdoorsy lifestyle. I believe that physical health and mental wellness can be used together as tools to help you succeed in all aspects of life and that building strength through functional exercise will help you move better, feel better, and live better. I have three years experience working in a physical therapy setting for rehabilitative, injury prevention, and return-to-sport purposes. I believe the mind-body connection is one of our greatest assets and is something I challenge all of my clients to practice in our workouts and apply in everyday life. Building the right patterns, maintaining proper mechanics, and activating the correct muscles are of the utmost importance in any workout. I pride myself on finding the right exercises for each person to build a unique and personalized training program to target weaknesses and highlight strengths. My training method is a combination of mobility, strength, and endurance with a focus on core. My goal for our workout is to keep you in motion, having fun, and feeling the progress.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I grew up pretty active my entire life. Fitness to me has always been about pure movement and conscious eating choices. As a dancer, kinesthetic awareness was something I learned early on. Now, I'm passionate about teaching that same awareness to my clients and showing them how to push the limits on their own body, mentally and physically. I am naturally petite so finding my own strength and defining my own health has been a journey that I'm still walking out everyday, but I've learned that whatever your goals are, transforming your body is possible if you're consistent. For the last 4+ years, I've help clients of all different backgrounds achieve fat loss, gain muscle and move better all through functional movement that is safe and challenging to each individual. To me, fitness has always been about becoming my best self, eliminating the comparison game and staying committed to my long-term health. It's not just a thing you can add to your daily schedule, but a lifestyle that helps you live out the better you in every area of your life.

I believe in the life changing power of exercise, health, and wellness! As an endurance athlete, Ironman trainee, and Boston Marathon qualifier, proper nutrition and fitness have always been my way of life. I began my career as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 to help those who are in need of rehabilitation. Over time, I realized that I wanted to work with the full spectrum of people: those who are just starting their fitness journey, athletes who want that extra kick to boost their performance, and those who are regaining fundamental strength after an injury.

My focus is on building a solid foundation based on proper body mechanics followed by strength conditioning and mobility. Whether I’m teaching group fitness classes or personal training, my genuine passion is helping clients achieve their goals and pushing beyond their limits!
